Are You Satisfied With Your Business Just As It Is?
Did you know that satisfaction is the number one emotion
people want to experience about their life and business?
Yes, fame and fortune are up there, but satisfaction is
the key. Satisfaction is about contentment, gratitude and
pure joy. Are you satisfied with your business and your
life? If not, read on and see how you can transform your
life in the simplest method possible. To be satisfied is to enjoy each step along the way, to
be able to integrate the practical with the fanciful, to
continually refine your dream or vision. You need a vision for your business. You had it at least
once in your life, especially if you chose to go into
business for yourself. You may be making the money
that you want, have fame in your community, but still
are unhappy and wonder ? "Is that all there is?" If you are in any way unhappy or dissatisfied with your
life or your business, you need to re-ignite your original
vision or create a new one. But wait, you say, you already
have a business plan. Isn't that sufficient for your
business success? Why Isn't a Business Plan Enough? A business plan is for banks and credit institutions, but
outcomes are based more on desire than on business
plans. Vision with a Capital V? is bigger than a business
plan. The difference is, if your vision is not articulated,
you cannot include it in your business plan. Who Besides Me Benefits from My Business Vision? Customers know when you have a clear, passionate
business vision. The benefits clients, customers and
vendors receive are a result of your clarity about the
dream of your business. The more you can relate your
vision to your family and community, the more you can
excite everyone. More excitement attracts the customer
of your dreams. Lance Armstrong wanted to win the Tour de France. Once
he achieved this goal, his vision was to win more Tour de
France's than anyone. He did just that; he created a World
Record of six wins. What he also did benefited the country
of France, even though he is an American. France's
tourist dollars increased. American television advertising
grew as more people tuned into these races. Armstrong's
battle with cancer increased donations to the American
Cancer Society. Benefits abounded for anyone connected
to bicycle riding, including manufacturers and sports
clothing providers. Do Independent Professionals and Micro Businesses Need
a Vision Too? Definitely! Independent professionals and micro
businesses
require the clarity of a vision. Martha Stewart started
small. She was a caterer after she completed her career
as a model. A product of her times, the 1950's, Martha's
first thought was to make a home look warm and inviting.
As a great cook, Martha created elegant, well-designed
meals and events. She had her vision for success. When Martha Stewart dreamed well into the future, she
had a vision of a conglomerate business, with far-reaching
rewards. She created OmniMedia, with her own magazine,
television shows and products; all sold worldwide. From
small business visions, big business visions grow. Even in
prison, Martha continued to expand her Vision with a Capitol
V to include two new television reality shows. Martha
never stops expanding her Vision with a Capital V?. You now have the key to your business future, the joy that
can make your efforts worthwhile. You will also achieve
fame and fortune as an outcome, but satisfaction is the
key. Be satisfied with yourself. Create a Vision that helps
move you forward. Enjoy yourself, your business and your life. Copyright Date: 2005 All Rights Reserved Worldwide ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The Role of the Business Model and Strategy for Business
People will always stress that having a well researched business plan is key before you start your business. Although creating a business plan is often an important step in the evolution of a business, particularly if you need financing or you are not experienced at running a business, it is not necessarily the essential first step. There are two key elements that should be completed prior to the business plan:
The Most Important Decision of Your Massage Business Career
Don't you find that there are so many decisions you need to make each and every day regarding the direction of your massage practice. Especially if you are a solo-preneur or own your own massage business.

Mobile Car Wash Market Opportunities in California
The current lack of industry leaders represents an exceptional opportunity for a large and organized mobile car wash company to achieve regional domination and eventually dominate the Southern California carwash market. The best place to start a regional assault on this market would be to concentrate North and West of Los Angeles; Chatsworth and Simi Valley to Malibu and Tarzana to Santa Barbara. Once these relatively competition free markets are won Los Angeles, San Diego, Riverside and San Bernardino counties could be dominated by a steady city-by-city methodology. From there the company should include neighboring regions and Sun Belt States. By setting up each territory next to an existing territory, they will, brick by brick, build an impenetrable wall to ward off would-be competitors. Utilizing their satellite offices, they can build that wall rapidly by connecting each area. As this occurs, we will have achieved regional and eventually national name recognition and proceed to other long-term goals.
Small Business Pricing Strategies
TACTIC #1 -- Never simply slash your prices, unless you're trying to empty obsolete inventory. Instead, try repackaging your prices so they're more affordable in the short-run so more prospects can afford them. For example, rather than pricing your service for the year, "Our monthly newsletter is only $39 for the year." Instead, try "Our monthly newsletter is only $3.25 per month." If you accept credit cards, it's very easy to set up reoccurring monthly charges that are billed to your subscribers without having to intervene every month beyond the initial account set up. The upside to offering your subscription on a monthly basis is that you can now market a $3.25 headline versus a more expensive $39 headline, i.e. you're able to offer services at a more affordable rate without slashing prices.

City Wide Garage Sales: Hidden Riches!
Most of us remember going to at least one garage sale in our lives. It may have been called a yard sale, garage sale or flea market. The name didn't matter it was all the same. Other people selling what they thought was trash to people who thought the items were treasures.
Starting is the Hardest Part
You can't imagine how many people ask me how I did it. To turn my back onto convention, to turn a deaf ear on the people who wants what is best for me, to snub my nose at people who thinks I am making one of the biggest mistakes in my life?etc. Hey, this is what I do best, so, I am really good at this. Granted, not everyone is as good at defying convention (and logic) as me, so, I'll keep that in mind. :-)
Doing Business With Friends: Five Tips for Preserving the Friendship... and Your Sanity!
My colleague, Jane, recently lamented to me an all too familiar story about mixing business and friendship. Jane subcontracted copywriting work out her friend, Joan. Jane's copywriting business was blossoming (partly in response to her most recent brilliant article marketing campaign) and giving the work to Joan seemed like a win-win for both of them.
The Key to Small Business Growth? Buyer Alignment
Unfortunately for all buyers, each selling organization and their individual sales professionals are unique and often require immense amounts of energy to build a relationship with. This keeps buyers guessing, which in turn keeps the sales organization guessing. It's a constant game being played out across offices across the country.
The Responsibility Conundrum - Where art Thou?
Mr/Ms, 'not me' is often on holidays in your business. Yes come rain or shine they attend the workplace and put in the day for you; coffee to drink, gossip to catch up on, spying on management and colleagues, frequent toilet breaks, long lunches, long phone calls and let not forget the email needs to be checked and replied. Off course the home business needs more customers so a few phone calls here and there are quite appropriate so they think!

More Rules for Franchising?
The FTC- Mighty Federal Trade Commission has unilaterally decided to change the franchise rule. They changes are sure to hurt American business, Franchisors and the over 400,000 Franchisees in the United States today. These regulatory changes even if mere interpretations and opinion cause events which have unintended consequences. Such changes are rarely forgotten as one simple stroke of a pen by a Federal Trade Commission attorney who does not understand the real world of franchising can wipe out several quarters of profits.
Small Business Marketing Series ? Choosing a Niche Market
Many smaller businesses choose niche markets for various reasons and these niche markets can be very lucrative. This article will look at ways to identify and assess whether they are right for your business?
Are You Making the Most of Your Intern?
KEEPING INTEREST HIGH: Supervision is key to the success of the program. Interns like direction, but don't like to feel they are being constantly checked on. Even this small amount of direction, however, can take a great deal of time. It is important to be willing to set aside this time to give the intern direction. One method that seems to work calls for a briefing at the beginning of each day and a "where-do-we-stand?" briefing at its end. Throughout the day, the manager is on hand to answer any questions that might come up -- remember this is a learning experience! There should also be additional time set aside throughout the duration of the internship during which the manager receives feedback from the intern on his or her satisfaction with the assignment and suggestions for future directions. Equally important, interns should receive feedback on their progress. They need to know if they are performing to the manager's expectations. Additionally, many interns have chosen to keep diaries and time logs documenting their involvement. These can be reviewed at the conclusion of that person's internship.
